Making a Fresh Batch of Our Bestselling Lavender & Magnesium Cream
Step 1: The Water Phase – Lavender Hydrosol and Magnesium
Every batch begins with the water phase, which forms the base of the cream.
Just some of our natural ingredients are:
Lavender Hydrosol
Lavender hydrosol is a gentle floral water produced during the distillation of lavender. It carries a light natural lavender scent and is known for its soothing properties.
Lavender hydrosol can help:
• calm and refresh the skin
• support relaxation
• provide the natural lavender aroma that makes the cream so comforting
Magnesium Flakes
Natural magnesium chloride flakes, harvested from the Tibetan Plateau and processed using traditional solar methods. Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays an important role in muscle relaxation and nervous system balance.
More and more people are applying magnesium creams to the skin as part of a relaxing routine. Magnesium is often used to support:
• muscle recovery
• easing tension
• relaxation before sleep
Step 2: The Oil Phase – Nourishing Butters and Oils
Next we prepare the oil phase, which provides richness and skin-loving nourishment. Some of our ingredients are:
Shea Butter
Shea butter is well known for its deeply moisturising properties. It adds a creamy texture and helps protect the skin barrier.
Benefits include:
• intense hydration
• soothing dry skin
• creating a rich, luxurious feel
Almond Oil
Sweet almond oil is a lightweight oil that absorbs easily into the skin.
It helps:
• soften and smooth skin
• provide vitamins and nutrients
• support skin elasticity
Grapeseed Oil
Grapeseed oil is valued for its light texture and fast absorption.
It helps:
• balance the skin
• provide antioxidants
• keep the cream feeling light rather than greasy
Step 3: Blending the Cream
During the mixing phase…
Once the water phase and oil phase have both reached the correct temperature, they are blended together.
This is where the transformation happens.
The liquid ingredients slowly become a thick, smooth cream with a luxurious consistency.
Careful mixing ensures that the magnesium and nourishing oils are evenly distributed throughout the batch.
Step 4: The Cool Down Phase
Next we prepare the cool down phase, to incorporate the heat-sensitive ingredients. Some of our ingredients are:
Vitamin E
Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant and helps protect the oils in the cream from oxidation.
It also provides additional skin-nourishing benefits.
Lavender Essential Oil
Finally, lavender essential oil is added to enhance the natural fragrance and calming properties of the cream.
Lavender essential oil is widely loved for its ability to promote relaxation and create a sense of calm.
Step 5: Filling the Jars
Once the cream has reached the perfect consistency, it is carefully poured into jars.
Each jar is filled by hand before being labelled and prepared for customers.
The result is a smooth, nourishing lavender magnesium cream with a gentle natural scent and a texture that melts beautifully into the skin.
